The Barnacle Historic State Park is the most romantic
Contradance venue in South Florida. We dance in an open air
pavilion nestled on a grassy knoll overlooking Biscayne Bay. Some
dancers bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on adjacent picnic tables before the
dance. There’s usually a soft breeze blowing so the dancing is comfortable
regardless of the temperature.
The Barnacle dance features the very best live music available and the acoustics are
excellent.
As with all of our dances, we begin with a short walk-through for new dancers before each dance
and do easier dances at the beginning of the evening.
